Group Tour 101 Workshops
for Those Interested in Attracting Group Tour Business
The Kansas Department of Commerce's Travel and Tourism Development Division is here to help you expand the tourism market throughout the state of Kansas. Therefore we have put together a Group Tour 101 workshop that has been designed to educate and assist suppliers and Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs) who are interested in attracting group tour business to Kansas.
At this workshop you will learn the basics on how to promote to the group tour market as well as some of the important items to keep in mind when enticing prospective tour groups to come to your area. Topics that will be covered include needs at attractions, restaurants, lodging facilities, and events.
Why should you seek this segment of the tourism industry? Important reasons include economic impact, repeat business potential, and advance planning opportunities. Group travel can be an exciting way to bring many tourists to your community profiting your attractions as well as the entire community.
